Admissions Settings
The Admissions Settings page lets you configure default behaviors, display options, and process rules for your admissions workflow. These settings affect how the system handles new leads, form submissions, and day-to-day operations.
Accessing Admissions Settings
- Navigate to Configuration in the sidebar.
- Select the Admissions tab.
Available Settings
Default Pipeline and Stage
Configure where new leads are placed when they enter the system:
- Default Pipeline -- The pipeline that new leads are assigned to when no specific pipeline is indicated.
- Default Stage -- The initial stage within the pipeline for new leads.
TIP
Setting appropriate defaults ensures that new leads from form submissions and imports immediately appear in the correct pipeline and stage without manual intervention.
Lead Display Preferences
Control how lead information is displayed across the application:
- Name format -- How applicant names are displayed (e.g., "First Last" or "Last, First").
- Date format -- The date format used in the interface.
- ID display -- Whether internal lead IDs are shown in list views.
Form Submission Behavior
Configure what happens when a family submits an admissions form:
- Auto-create lead -- Whether a new lead is automatically created from the form submission.
- Notification settings -- Who gets notified when a new form is submitted.
- Duplicate detection -- How the system handles submissions that match existing leads.
Enquiry Settings
Settings related to the enquiry/roster process:
- Auto-harvest period -- How long before an incomplete enquiry is marked as abandoned.
- Form abandonment -- Settings for detecting and processing abandoned form submissions.
Saving Changes
After modifying any settings:
- Click the Save button.
- A success notification confirms the settings have been updated.
- Changes take effect immediately for new actions; existing records are not retroactively affected.
WARNING
Some settings changes may affect active workflows. Review any active workflows and automations after changing admissions settings to ensure they still behave as expected.
Best Practices
- Set defaults early -- Configure default pipeline and stage before launching your first admissions form.
- Review seasonally -- Update settings at the start of each admissions cycle to match your current process.
- Coordinate with team -- Discuss settings changes with your admissions team to avoid confusion.
